The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior QA/RA Manager, the Quality Engineer will support the introduction of all new projects. You’ll ensure that projects meet the requirements of the Quality Management System and use data analysis improve the outgoing quality of the company.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Act as the key point of contact for quality and compliance activities
- Be responsible for the upkeep and further improvement of the Quality Management System and key processes to ensure optimum compliance with relevant corporate and regulatory policies
- Support the Senior QA/RA Manager in maintaining a QMS that meets the applicable regulatory and company requirements including ISO 13485/9001/EC certification
- Assist in the creation of standard operating procedures and policy guidelines
- Support the Senior QA/RA Manager with post-market regulatory compliance and surveillance activities for EU and international product approvals
- Be a key player for project teams in the development and introduction of new products and/or processes
- Help to plan and prepare projects which require validation activities
- Lead CAPA/NCR/customer complaint investigations
- Work with the Quality Team to maintain compliance with laws and regulations
- Ensure that sites in Camberley, Bridport and Axminster are in an “Audit Ready” state
About You
To be considered as the Quality Engineer, you will need:
- Experience of ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and EC certifications
- Knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems and eQMS systems
- Knowledge of current FDA GMP and/or QSR regulations
- An understanding of design control, risk management, product development processes and batch release
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple and complex projects at any one time
- A high level of IT literacy, including MS Office
Ideally, you will be educated to a bachelor’s degree or HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline.
