In addition to its core business of being a successful multi academy group of 22 (soon to be 24) schools, Ebor Academy Trust is a provider of apprenticeships. Although currently we are able to deliver apprenticeships to our own staff only, we hope that we will have "Main Provider" status.

We are keen to roll out delivery of the Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard and are looking for someone who can write the programme (with significant input from existing Trust managers) and successfully deliver it through to end point assessment.

As Trainor / Assessor, you will develop a rigorous programme of study for the level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard. You will recruit, induct, train, review, assess, monitor and track candidates working in the relevant field, primarily but not exclusively on employers’ premises.

You will also ensure that apprentices meet the requirements to go through end point assessment in a timely manner and that success targets are reached and maintained.

As we are flexible regarding timescales for this to take place, it is proposed that the successful applicant would initially agree a number of hours for writing the programme, then agree a pattern of working hours for delivery and assessment. Once Main Provider status has been achieved it is envisaged that delivery to a second cohort would take place.

We are looking for someone who has experience of writing and delivering successful training on the same or similar programmes and who has thorough understanding of property maintenance as required by caretaking staff in schools.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team to develop the Trust's expanding apprenticeship programme and we'd love to hear from people who are similarly enthusiastic about the work we're doing and are planning to do across the sector.

The role can be worked from home when the postholder is not required to be on site for training/ assessment purposes.
