Contract Type: Fixed term – 1 year for the duration of the training

Exeter College Day Nursery is situated in the city centre in a modern purpose built nursery. Our 40 place nursery has three base playrooms all of which lead into a large garden to the rear of the building. We are close to all main transport links into the city.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Apprentice Nursery Assistant to join our nursery team. You must have a keen interest in childcare and previous experience of caring for children under five is desirable. You must have a sense of fun, be adaptable, enjoy helping children learn through their play experiences and be able to work as part of a team. Whilst you are employed by us you will be trained in all aspects of childcare, child development and children’s learning, both through taught days in college and practical experience in the nursery.

Your initial training will be to Level 2 and for the right candidate further training to Level 3 will be available on the completion of your Level 2 study. We have an experienced team of 15 early years practitioners who will help and guide you through your training. The College offers great opportunities for professional development and further training. The college also offers a generous holiday allowance of 28 days per year, plus bank holidays and an additional 2 weeks off at Christmas.

Closing Date for applications is Thursday 30th May 2019.

Interviews will be held on Monday 10th June 2019.
