Our control teams are an important part of our business. This is a desk-based role that includes making sure our people stay safe, and scheduling our engineers' tasks. Working in the control area gives you an insight into lots of aspects of engineering services. As a control apprentice you'll be:
  • Planning work schedules for all our engineers, dealing with any potential issues before they arise.
  • Jeopardy managing our work streams to ensure tasks are dealt with efficiently.
  • Providing our field teams an insight into how they're performing or reporting on skills shortages or engineer availability.
  • The control teams play a pivotal role in providing valuable information on performance to promote communication throughout our teams. Most of the training for this role will be done on the job, working with mentors and other members of the control team. There's also a structured learning programme where you will gain a BTEC diploma and NVQ qualifications.

  • To meet our safety requirements by showing you can recognise a range of colours (except for our Spares Engineer apprenticeship).
