Technical Support Representative  
Home Based (with occasional travel to customer sites – all expenses paid)  
Up to £35,000 Plus Company Bonus Plan, Generous Health Coverage, Pension Scheme, Subsidised Gym Membership, Paid Vacation & Sick Days  

Our client provides innovative technology and software platforms to the public and private sector which enable the collation, measurement and analysis of assessment results across a broad range of applications.  

With over 1,000 clients worldwide and operations in 36 countries, they are well established on a global scale and are growing significantly. Now, they’re looking for a Technical Support Representative to respond to technical queries from partners, customers and prospective customers.  

As a Technical Support Representative, you will:  

- Take ownership of technical issues, from encounter to solution  
- Strive to provide the highest levels of customer service  
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences  
- Demonstrate product features and explain their benefits  
- Create custom content for customers  
- Test new versions of the software  
- Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas to provide technical consultation (on occasion)  
- Occasionally visit our client’s offices in London  

Interested? If so, you’ll need:  

- At least five years’ technical support experience OR a degree level qualification with at least three years’ technical support experience
- Virtualisation experience  
- Knowledge of administering, supporting and configuring Windows and Server operating systems (Windows 7, 8, and 10, 2008, 2012 and 2016)  
- Proficiency in application installation, customisation and configuration  
- Knowledge of MS Office and 365 products  
- A basic understanding of database software, such as SQL  
- Strong numeracy skills  
- A full driving licence 

PHP installation and configuration experience would be beneficial, as would knowledge of SharePoint, HTML, JavaScript and Java and XML. Experience of scripted deployments would also be an advantage, as would a basic understanding of networks including TCP/IP, DNS and Routing.  

Our client is eager to hear from candidates with experience as a Technical Support Analyst, Product Support Analyst, IT Support Analyst, Software Support Engineer, Service Desk Analyst, IT Helpdesk Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer.
