People First Merseyside is a user led self-advocacy organisation for adults with a learning disability. Our mission is to ensure that the voices of people with a learning disability are heard, respected and valued and that as a result people are able to live happier and healthier lives.
We are looking to recruit 2 people to develop and support the DAVID Project (Dignity And Voices In Dying) funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This is a unique 5-year project that will support people with learning disabilities to know about death and dying, enable them to plan for their future making death a less frightening subject.
The post holder will have counselling experience and will be responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities to develop the project whilst ensuring their emotional needs are met. They will also be responsible for day to day project delivery.
35 hours per week, Salary - £22,958 (per annum)
