Cordant People are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading supplier of bakery products, for a food production operative on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at a well known bakery due to expansion within the business.
Working on the following shift pattern:
4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.
The salary for this role is GBP22,300 but overtime will be an additional amount on top of this.
The role involves:
* Packing baked products into packaging
* Production line work including checking products for quality on the production line and removing faulty products
* Keeping machines supplied with materials and labels
* Reporting machine faults to shift supervisors and maintenance staff
* Keeping the area clean following hygiene standards
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good observational skills
* Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
* The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
* Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
* The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
* Good standards of personal hygiene
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
