Permanent HR Assistant role based in Manchester paying up to GBP26k

My client is a well-known legal firm company based in Manchester City centre. The HR team has grown over the last few years with more growth set to continue. My client is looking to recruit a HR assistant to join the team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Working alongside a team of 5 HR assistants and Reporting directly to the HR manager, you will provide HR support to employees across the business and play a key part in the day to day HR functions. Key responsibilities will include providing first line advice to employees, deal with queries such as maternity/paternity pay, benefits, flexible working requests and payroll queries such as holiday calculations and inputting payroll information on to the system. You will provide generalist HR admin support to the team and deal with a high volume of queries efficiently through a case management system. This is a fast-paced environment and offers lots of exposure for candidates who are looking to develop a career in HR.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a HR assistant or an experienced HR administrator within a fast-paced environment with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in HR including experience of first line queries, supporting the employee life cycle and some basic payroll knowledge. You must have strong attention to detail and be able to demonstrate this as well as being able to work to tight deadlines. You will also be a strong multi tasker and have experience working within a professional services environment, the ideal candidate will have shared service and legal experience. You will also have experience strong IT skills including experience of using Oracle or similar complex HR systems.
