Here at Watkin Jones Group, we are now looking to appoint a Site Manager to manage the works on our site in Glasgow, ensuring the project is completed to the highest possible standard, on time, safely and profitably resulting in satisfied clients.
You will be responsible for managing builds, ensuring company standards and procedures are adhered to at all times. Monitoring the construction working programme with the Project / Contracts Manager, you will study drawings and be aware of forecast costs and budgets in order to minimise waste and maximise value. You will also monitor plant equipment costs and preliminaries to include the set up, cost of plant and office on a weekly basis and manage the sub-contractors, labour, plant and materials, issuing requisitions as required.
About You
We’re looking for an individual who is educated to NVQ Level 3, ‘A’ Level or HNC standard in a relevant discipline or who has the equivalent experience. With good communication skills and a technical aptitude, you need to possess a SMSTS certificate, First Aid certificate and a scaffolding certificate and hold a valid CSCS card. We’d like you to have experience of working with high rise buildings or student accommodation builds and be comfortable working in an extremely fast paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel are a must, as is strong management and leadership capabilities.
