The Position
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, proactive and driven individual to work as a Warehouse Supervisor.Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the position is responsible for ensuring the day to day running of the warehouse which will include the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods and products in line with customer and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Effective planning and management of the daily and weekly workload.
* Responsible for outbound deliveries to customers, as well as inbound deliveries to Finished Goods Warehouse.
* Ensure that deadlines are kept to and work is being done efficiently to optimize and ensure OTIF.
* Continually ensure that warehouse space and planned delivery schedules are compatible.
* Manage all finished goods warehouse staff on rotating shifts, effectively with emphasis on performance
* Managing the setup process and its accuracy to maximize productivity
* Oversee the despatch of goods and supplies.
* Store goods appropriately in a safe and timely manner.
* Pick for dispatch as and when required.
* Move stock around either using fork lift truck and/or PPT.
* Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerized system and ensure that accurate stock records are kept and maintained.
* Be involved with the Company's regular stock take days, as well as undertake PI stock counts on a daily basis.
* Keep paperwork up to date and accurate.
* Operate in a safe manner at all times complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements and Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Person Specification
Successful candidates should be educated to a high standard with previous experience of working within a supervisory position.Knowledge of machinery and the ability to operate Reach, Counterbalance and a Ride on Pallet Truck is essential to this role, as well as previous skills and knowledge of working within a fast paced and every changing warehouse environment. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills is essential to this role, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Individuals must be able to prioritise their workload and work effectively when under pressure, as working to tight deadlines is part of this role.Applicants should have a flexible approach to working, be both externally and internally customer focussed and be a confident leader. A sound knowledge of IT packages as well as analytical skills is also essential to this role.
Hours of work
This is a day staff position, working a basic 45 hour week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with an hour paid break, however due to nature of this role you will need to demonstrate a certain amount of flexibility.
