CNC Programmer (Days or Afters)

8.00m to 16.50pm (Mon to Thurs, Friday 8.00am to 12.15pm (36.75 hrs)
or
2.00pm to 12.00am (Mon to Thurs 38 hrs)
Pay Rate GBP14.00 - GBP16.50 per hr
Skillection are working with their precision engineering client assisting them in the recruitment of an Apprentice trained / time served or equivalent CNC Programmer (Mazak Nexus Mill/turn programmer/setter) to join their team. We have either perm days or perm afters available.
The successful CNC Programmer (Mazak Nexus Mill/turn programmer/setter) will be:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for cnc programming, setting and operating of mill turn machines.
• Programming to customer drawings.
• Ability to producing finished components to quality requirements.
• Preferably experienced in Mazak Nexus 2 controller although training can/will be given
• To attend and complete any training courses if required.
• Experience of working with small batches and single components
• Can work to tight limits in a high precision environment.
• Workshop Housekeeping.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Work Experience, knowledge, Training etc.
* Should have a strong background in CNC Programming both CNC Turning and Milling.
* Previous experience of working with either Mazak or DMG Ergoline controllers (others will be considered).
* Able to work to engineering drawings with minimum supervision.
* Experience of various machine controls.
* Able to complete tasks using own initiative.
* Willingness to comply with all HSQE requirements and procedural controls.
* Strong housekeeping and continuous improvement ethic.
* Strong team member and willing to assist wherever required.
* Skilled in manual handling
* Honest and reliable.
