The Role:   

As a Litigator / Claims Handler, you will manage a caseload of Small Claim and Fast Track motorcycle credit hire claims. When required, you’ll run cases through the stages of the litigation process to resolution. 

You will apply efficient claims handling practices, with a key focus on client care, generating fee income for the business and contributing to the general success of the business.  

Working in-line with our procedures and practices, you will:   

- Manage cases and recover incurred feeds for clients back from the responsible insurers  
- If needed, litigate following the CPR rules and utilising our case management system 
- Argue liability and prepare witness statements 
- Complete case law research and help to prepare rebuttal arguments  
- Effectively manage client’s expectations while providing timely and balanced legal advice 
- Draft legal proceedings from the issue of a claim form until conclusion at a hearing/trial 
- Attend case management conferences  
- Where appropriate, attend court hearings to make representations in respect of the claim before the judiciary and 
- Where necessary, instruct Barristers to represent clients  

About You:  

To be considered as a Litigator / Claims Handler, you will need:  

- Experience and/or knowledge in claims handling    
- Previous litigation experience 
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail   
- A strong focus on delivering quality service to clients and the firm   

Previous experience of handling motor claims and personal injury matters would be an advantage.
