Driver Technician - Mobility AidsLocation: CrawleyContract type: Permanent35 hours per weekSalary: GBP14,942 per annum Are you an experienced and confident driver who can provide good customer service?We have a position available for a Driver Technician within our Mobility Aids Service (MAS) in Crawley.Reporting to the Senior Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring that Mobility Aids equipment is cleaned, maintained and delivered between a central warehouse and the regional outlets. This equipment is vital and makes an enormous difference to the lives of our service users. Meet the teamThe British Red Cross Mobility Aids Service (MAS) offers the loan of wheelchairs and other mobility items to any individual on a short term basis.Our aim is to ensure that during a period of personal crisis everyone is able to access an item of equipment they may need, no matter whoever or wherever they are. This role might be for you if...You're a confident and safe driver, preferably with van driving experience and knowledge of Crawley and the surrounding areaYou're a people person with good customer service and communication skills You have a good level of general fitness, (you can lift and handle equipment weighing up to 21kg)You've got good general IT skills with ability to work with online stock management system Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Thursday the 23rd May 2019.
