We are recruiting for a Technical Energy Manager, Home Based / Leeds. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week, standard office (9am - 5pm) Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

As part of our strategy to offer continual performance improvement to our customers we are looking for a Technical Energy Manager who will form part of a team that identify and develop projects and energy management contracts to deliver our strategy. The candidate will be home based, although extensive travelling will be required to our sites across the country and there will be a requirement to attend regular meetings at our head office in Leeds.

The role is pivotal in supporting the continued growth of the E&S team. The primary functions of this role are to provide technical support for Energy and FM sales and existing contracts as well as internal and external Energy project development opportunities.

This role is also responsible for bringing in revenue contributing to the P&L of the team and the business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying utility savings opportunities and progressing these through to successful completion, in conjunction with operational and other technical staff on current customer sites and potential new customers. The energy reduction programmes delivered by the team are crucial to companies strategy for providing value to both new and existing client base. The role involves frequent client interaction and travelling to client sites across the UK.

The job requires a high degree of technical proficiency, and the successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Engineering or a science based subject and membership to the Energy Institute or similar professional body.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical & problem-solving skills and show adaptability in assessing all aspects of energy management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following competencies: -

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Science based subject.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial energy systems (steam, hot water, compressed air, refrigeration) and environmental standards & legislation (ISO50001)
  • Confidence to liaise directly with and present projects/business cases to clients at a high level
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
  • Highly proficient IT skills; with the ability to compile comprehensive progress reports to the Senior Technical Manager

A FULL, CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE
