We are working closely with one of the UK's largest retail suppliers of poultry who are looking to bring in a Senior Manager to their Operations and Farming teams to further the continued growth in their business. The Job:
This opportunity will see you taking responsibility for the broiler farms, hatchery's and the feed mills that supply them, taking operational control of them as one business unit. This will come with a number of direct reports alongside the opportunity to work strategically with a number of managers and contract growers. The simple goals for this role will be based around cost control and reduction whilst working to industry wide benchmarks. You will also be responsible for investigating new technologies, techniques and performance monitoring trends which will ultimately guide your unit to further success.
The end goal will be to run the business unit as efficiently as possible, across a number of intensive farms whilst also ensuring that the hatchery and feed mills are operating to the highest efficiency possible.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Extensive experience in the poultry sector, specifically working with broilers, managing a number of farm managers & assistants. Experience with hatchery and feed production will be beneficial.
Team management experience will be necessary so great relationship building skills along with a proven track record of successful business unit management.
Experience with creating a great working strategy on behalf of an intensive agricultural business unit will be beneficial.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills and the ability to communicate with all levels and invested parties in the business unit.
