We are creating an exciting new role for a Payroll Analyst within our Wilmslow head office at Four Seasons Health Care. This role will sit within the finance function but will work predominantly with senior HR leaders to interpret and analyse our payroll data, helping us to develop our future labour force strategy. You will need to be a fast learner as you will rapidly become the subject matter expert on payroll analytics within the business.
The role involves:
  • Analysing our existing payroll data, working with operations to find explanations for the patterns and trends
  • Designing new KPIs to help us control and forecast our labour force demand
  • Helping to build and maintain a new payroll model in conjunction with finance
  • Creating new flexible working models, analysing existing shift patterns and helping to design new ones
  • Designing innovative reward schemes and calculating bonus payments
  • Assisting with the annual Gender Pay Gap reporting process
  • Analysing our HR dashboard metrics, and recommending improvements to metrics, systems and processes
Job Requirements We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skills:

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Must be comfortable with handling large volumes of data, combining strong numeracy skills with an analytical mindset
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel with some experience of financial modelling
  • Will need to be a curious individual who is comfortable asking questions and defining the direction of their own work
  • Educated to Degree level, ideally in a numerate/scientific discipline, with a minimum of A-level maths
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint, with an ability to communicate your ideas and findings to senior management
  • An understanding of how financial systems operate, possibly gained through a role as a data analyst or business analyst
  • Although the role does not require financial reporting skills, it would be suitable for a nearly-qualified or newly qualified accountant who wishes to gain experience in MIS
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse range of people
  • Resilient and tenacious with the ability to finish what you begin
The role will report into the Finance and Transformation Director, but will work between finance and HR as required.
The successful candidate will be based at the Wilmslow office, but will be required to spend occasional time visiting our Darlington office as well as care homes around the country. During the induction period you will be required to spend 1-2 weeks embedded within the payroll and finance functions in Darlington in order to learn the systems.
