Planning Business Support Officers
1x Full time - 37 hours per week
1x part time - 22 hours per week
1x Temporary/fixed term - 12 months, 37 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have excellent communication and team working skills to join our technical support team in development management and building control.
Working in either our Trowbridge or Chippenham based offices, we have a flexible working policy and working from home is also encouraged. About the role
For this exciting role we are looking for motivated individuals who have good attention to detail, are well organised and would like to work in an interesting and challenging environment.
As a panning business support officer, in this vital support role, you will measure and assess plans submitted as part of planning or building regulation applications and liaise with agents and architects. Work closely with our planning and building control officers and working on a variety of tasks including reviewing and uploading documents to the website for stakeholders to view and understand proposals.
You will be responsible for dealing with enquiries from customers about planning and building control, including validating and registering building control and planning applications against national and local policy requirements.
We are looking for individuals who show a willingness to work with customers to provide a high level of customer service and who have the ability to work well under pressure in a busy team. You will need to use your initiative to solve problems, be willing to bring new ideas to the team and be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
