Do you want to WOW customers and join a forward thinking social housing
company who want to invest and develop in a career that grows with you? Our
Workwise service is looking for a positive and dynamic person to join their high
performing team.

Curo have been ranked in the top 50 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-
Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK. We are one of the largest
landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market
rented homes.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be working on a job share basis, line managing three direct reports and
overseeing all the Workwise services. You’ll support our aim to grow and
enhance the services for local people to access employment and training

Working closely with the Director of Health, Care and Support and the
Commercial and Business Development Manager, you’ll support bid writing and
investigate funding opportunities, as well as promote the existing services and
form new partnerships.

You’ll report on outcomes and work with local authorities and Colleges to adhere
to section 106 employability outcomes on Curo development sites, as well as
managing the delivery of the Apprenticeship programme and supporting the
business to expand this programme across the group.

More about you
You’ll be passionate about customers getting a great outcome. To do this you
will need to have a good knowledge of work programs and understand the
barriers and issues people face when trying to access work and training

You’ll have an understanding of how Apprenticeships work and if you know how
the levy can best be utilized, this would be a huge benefit.

You’ll have experience of managing a service and an understanding of how to
manage contracts with commissioners. You’ll also have budgeting and report
writing skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at
a senior level.

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an
interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

When and where you’ll be doing it
You will be working as part of a job share so you will be required to work 18.5
hours over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. Wednesday is the hand
over day so ideally this would be a full day. You will be responsible for
organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.

You’ll be based in our Head Office at The Maltings and will need to be able to
travel to different locations.

What will you get in return?
We think you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing –
you will make a difference to our customers’ lives every day.

You’ll get:
Additional day annual leave on your birthday
26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) pro rata
Opportunity to earn additional performance related pay
Company Pension contribution of up to 10%
Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, additional holiday purchase
