We have a very exciting opportunity for a Permanent Accounts/payroll Clerk to join our team in our Yorkshire Branch based in Hemsworth.
You will be responsible for the weekly payroll of all our temporary candidates, invoicing to clients and inputting all data into Sage 50 Accounts.
We are looking for a confident individual who can learn quickly, follow set procedures & understands the importance of accuracy, is thorough & diligent in their role.
Working with a small team of outgoing team members you will be an important part of our team.
Duties include:
  • Good working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
  • Follow an established procedure to ensure the payroll function is seamless
  • To ensure all time sheets are received each week from candidates within set deadlines
  • Manage the timesheets received to check authenticity & follow timesheet procedures set for each client
  • Ensure timesheets that need to be entered onto online portals are done so within timescales set
  • Process invoices to clients in a timely manner & send to the client with timesheet copies or follow process already set per client
  • Process supplier invoices to "umbrella" companies for the candidates within a set timescale
  • Ensure client invoices are loaded up the financial systems we access
  • Send and process purchase & supplier invoices
  • Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll/timesheet discrepancies.
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the Accounts system.
  • Compute wages and deductions and enter data into computers.
  • Manage the Aged Debt of our clients
  • Maintain a good working relationship with our clients & candidates alike
  • Close liaison with the 2 Directors of Semester
  • Be an active part of the team within Semester
You will be liaising with Clients in the Private and Public Sector
Organisation is key as is being able to follow a set process through all its stages
Working to tight deadlines to ensure all candidates are paid on time and accurately is paramount & essential to the role.
This is a permanent role & could be Full or part time - hours can be discussed at interview Main working days MUST include Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
Our Yorkshire office hours are between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
