Based in 160 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, our client is a Manor Hotel and Golf course with 70 spacious and beautiful bedrooms, a relaxing lounge area and the delightful Orangery restaurant complete with bar and its own terrace leading out. The Manor offers a very busy Conference & Banqueting facility that seats 400 and is also one of the most sought after Wedding venues in the area.
With their second to none conference and banqueting facilities, the hotel are now looking for a competent and knowledgable Junior Sous Chef to join their growing kitchen team.
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will demonstrate a flair for cooking in a fast paced kitchen, producing high quality standard dishes whilst developing and managing a brigade of other talented chefs.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will ideally possess the following qualities:
• Experience in a quality Hotel restaurant
• Have a well presented appearance and excellent communication skills
• Be confident in preparing quality dishes with only the finest locally sourced produce
• Be able to teach and manage lower members of the kitchen
This role will require you to work 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis consisting of evenings and weekends and due to the location of the hotel, you will need have a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle to travel to/from work.
If successful, you will receive up to 25 days holiday, (depending on years of service) receive complimentary golf, pension scheme and discounts on sister hotels.
