This role is working with Glassolutions where you will carry out deliveries of glass products, assist in loading and unloading of vehicles and to be an important face of the company to customers. You will ensure goods are delivered safely, in first class condition, completing all necessary compliance paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a really positive impression of you and of Glassolutions.

In the role as a Class 2 HIAB Driver you will;

  • Carry out driving, delivery and loading duties in a safe and responsible manner, within the law and in the most efficient way, enabling maximum vehicle utilization.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects that require urgent attention.
  • Check and sign off load prior to setting off, to ensure the load is complete and safe as well as reporting any breakages or delivery problems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure delivery notes are signed by customers and returned to office, as well as any cash/ cheques /receipts/drivers report forms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Tachograph legislation and Working Time Directives.
  • Help and assist customers, performing duties with a pleasant and helpful manner, being aware at all times that you are representing the company and behaving accordingly.
  • Support Operatives with factory duties, when not driving.
What kind of person are we looking for?

In order to be successful in this role, you must have;

  • Minimum Class 2 licence. Ideally have LGV driving experience. Forklift truck, moffet and crane licenses is preferable.
  • Hold a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • HIAB test passed and experience.
  • Glass loading and delivery experience ideal. Experience of interacting with customers is important.
  • Customer focus, teamwork, building effective working relationships, communication and listening.
