We have a great team striving to be the UK's leading In Flight Service provider, would you like to join us in the capacity of Pod Checker? Working with the site Managers and other operational Shift Leaders you will play an integral part in ensuring that we achieve our goals.

What the role is:

You will be an active team member ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with a daily work schedule. As a Pod Checker you will be responsible for ensuring that information received is communicated to the appropriate parties in a timely, effective manner and all goods dispatched within agreed timelines.

What you'll be doing will include:

  • Ensure work is completed according to daily work schedules
  • Ensure product quantities are correct prior to dispatch
  • Monitor work, highlight and escalate any issues accordingly
  • Ensure the work schedule is maintained by shift, highlighting any on-going issues to the appropriate Shift Manager
  • Ensure standards of external and internal customer service are met
  • Deal with issues of internal customer requests in a timely manner, escalating matters which cannot be resolved
  • Adhere to all Legislation & Company Policies
  • Adhere to security regulations and ensure security procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure familiarity with all Fire Procedures within the unit as instructed through fire training
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained
  • Ensure adherence to Safe Working Practices at all times including:
  • Use of PPE
  • Correct Manual Handling techniques
  • Ensure your training needs are identified and highlighted to the Shift Manager
  • Ensure effective handover with colleagues to ensure any issues are dealt with effectively
  • Take the appropriate action in the event of a non conformance issue and clearly communicate issues and concerns to the appropriate Shift Manager on shift

What you'll have will include:

  • People management skills,
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to organise and delegate possessing a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, liaising with internal customers
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Possess a methodical and logical approach to work
