Erskine supports over 1,000 Veterans each year across Scotland.  With four care homes and a range of accommodation options within the Veterans Village, we also assist younger Veterans who need help to begin the next chapter of their lives, offering social, recreation and training facilities at our Activity Centre.

Legacy Development Officer

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Grade 6 Salary £32,510 - £35,423 per annum

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Award Winning Fundraising and Communications Team as a Legacy Development Officer.  We are seeking a highly motivated experienced professional fundraiser, with financial or legal experience and an ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration would be an advantage. 

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent with an interest in legacy administration. The post-holder will develop and manage the Legacy Strategy to raise legacy income from individual donors. To create increased awareness of Erskine in order to increase the existing Erskine donor pool and provide potential Legacy opportunities. To manage all aspects of legacy and legal administration on behalf of Erskine.

Based in the Erskine Home, the post holder will help Erskine to achieve fundraising targets and develop long-term, sustainable relationships with supporters through a variety of fundraising and awareness raising activities to achieve its charitable aims for the ex-Service community. Erskine must raise over £9 million in voluntary income each year and this role plays a significant part in achieving that goal.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and written skills together with good IT skills are essential for this post.  A full driving licence is essential. Experience of Raiser’s Edge and Access would be an advantage although training will be provided if necessary.
