We are St Austell Brewery, a family-owned, independent business that is passionate about great food and drink and delivering the very best to our customers. We produce award-winning beers and have pubs and hotels across the South West, from Bath and Bristol, to the Isles of Scilly.
Situated in Polzeath, a renowned surfing destination on the North Cornwall coast, the Oystercatcher offers self-catering accommodation and local pub food. We are now looking for a dedicated Catering / Kitchen Assistant to join our professional and friendly team.

What will I be doing?
Predominately assisting with basic food preparation, as the Catering / Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen.
This will involve:
- Maintaining a clean workspace
- Supporting others wherever possible
- Playing a hands-on role in kitchen operations
- Maintaining a positive attitude
What will I need?
To join us as a Catering / Kitchen Assistant, you will need:
- A full, valid driving licence
- To take pride in your work
- To be reliable with an exceptional work ethic
- The ability to thrive under pressure
It would be great if you had a Food Hygiene qualification, however this isn’t essential as training will be provided. Experience in either a professional kitchen or a hospitality role would also be desirable.
