Membership Venue Development Officer
Reference number: A6900319
Location: South West Region
Salary starting at £17,276 to £18,716 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: Fixed Term to 30 November 2019

Nature is in trouble. Help us to give Nature a Home and make a real difference to the world around us. The RSPB is the UK's largest conservation organisation, with over 200 nature reserves giving a home to thousands of species across the whole of the UK. By creating and protecting some of the country's rarest habitats we are ensuring the future for some of our most threatened wildlife.

The role of Membership Venues Development Officer is crucial because you will be the person who arranges for our Membership team to be in the right places to succeed all across the South West region. The role requires the ability to plan, negotiate, review and deliver the bookings of high quality venues and events for our membership fundraisers to build support for the RSPB's Saving Nature mission. Our mission depends on high quality people engagement at public places and success often starts with our MVDOs making and maintaining excellent relationships with businesses and organisers of a wide range of events from farmers markets and garden centres to inner city residents groups and music festivals.

If you have the skills, experience and personality to build partnerships with venues and events for our membership recruitment team to exceed their recruitment targets, and to ensure key performance indicators and return on investment is achieved then this is the job for you.

You will be part of a successful and energetic team that is central to delivering the organisations work focusing on "Giving Nature a Home." As one team saving nature, we have a supportive and driven culture to help you succeed. You will receive an excellent level of ongoing support, training and the resources needed to excel in the role.

If you want to be part of our dedicated team and have the skill, passion and desire we are looking for, then we would like to hear from you.
