Work Based Tutor in Design - Variable Hours CHES81693

Our client is a leading provider of further education, higher education, apprenticeships and professional training, with a national reputation for the quality of their provision and the high standards of customer service and support they offer.

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic Work Based Tutor to join their expanding work based learning division, Learning Unlimited supporting to deliver Level 2 Design Support and Level 3 Diploma in Design.

The successful candidate will have a passion to pass on their skills and knowledge to a caseload of learners in the East Midlands and Greater Manchester regions who are working towards Apprenticeships in the Crafts, Creative Arts and Design sector, with workplace competence in the Art and Design industry essential.

Primary responsibilities include coaching, mentoring and assessing each learner in their workplace to ensure all elements of the qualification framework are successfully met for timely completion of the qualification. The Work Based Tutor will be responsible for the whole learner journey including on-going advice and guidance, delivery of all Functional Skills, monthly visits demonstrating progress on each learning aim, and excellent record keeping in line with company and governing body requirements.

Applicants must have occupational competence and hold the Assessors A1 Award (TDLB D32/D33) or TAQA 301 Award and be willing to work towards the V1 Award (TDLB D34) TAQA 401 Award.  Training/Teaching/Basic Skills qualifications would be an advantage, although not essential.

Excellent communication skills and a professional outlook are essential. Flexibility to work additional hours when required and undertake substantial travel when necessary is also essential.
