A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Team Leader in our Baby Leaf department, based at Barway.

This is a new role reporting to the Operations Manager, with two direct reports.

The Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Work in line with our group values; Trust, Efficiency, Quality & Expertise and Can-do.
  • Develop initiatives that progressively reduce the overall operational labour cost
  • Ensure ingredients usage is controlled through correct stock rotation, stock counts and daily reconciliations
  • Ensure that all requirements to meet daily production plan and customer service targets are provided on time, accurately and to the highest quality
  • To attend and lead daily meetings with appropriate information as and when required ensuring all meetings are effective
  • Identify training requirements within the team
  • Provide accurate statistical information and reports to managers where required

The ideal candidate (Experience/qualifications/training/requirements):

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with a variety of departments when necessary including written reports
  • Be adaptable and prepared to tackle any challenges which can occur within food production
  • Drive and enthusiasm to take the department forward
  • 2 years experience in a production/leadership role and conflict management
  • Good working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Experience of manufacturing equipment and techniques

This is a full time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week
