Sales Support Assistant & Administrator

£15-22k OTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Sales & Support Administrator to join the team at an industry leader of mixing solutions for the food, pharmaceutical and consumer sectors, based in Ramsbottom, Bury, Greater Manchester.

The successful candidate would be responsible for some incoming enquiries, following-up all quotations, booking & costing services/repairs, payroll and staff holiday schedules.


The Role:

  • Preparing quotations for our standard range of mixers and spares
  • Following up quotations, generating new sales and service leads from our Sage accounts system
  • Creating order acknowledgments and updating customers delivery schedules
  • Administration of staff holidays and payroll
  • Scanning drawings and achiving
  • Telephone and e-mail communications with current and new customer base to build up a good relationship.
  • Working with new marketing ideas and potential new lead generation systems
  • As we are a SME, experience will also be gained by supporting and assisting in other departments as and when required.

The Person:
We are looking for an individual that has had some previous experience of working as Sales and Support. This should be seen as an excellent development opportunity as you will be working closely with the company leadership team:

  • A sound understanding and interest in customer support.
  • Positive, professional and warming attitude with good self-discipline and motivation
  • Very good face to face and verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle objections and be able to demonstrate effective negotiation
  • Experience in some managing of a small team is an advantage, or working as a key individual in a small team
  • Ability to work diligently and accurately
  • Whilst you will be required to work on your own initiative, it is essential that you enjoy being part of a small team and are willing to support others at challenging times
  • Reasonable IT skills and confidence - MS Office, Sage and Excel, with database skills/usage an advantage
  • Understanding how a business works in terms of workloads and flexibility
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced exciting environment

Desirable

  • Experience selling Industrial Mixers or mechanical pumps or motors, gearboxes or other process equipment. Or previous professional experience in a relevant field.
