Are you an excellent administrator with experience in producing and reviewing SOPs and a keen eye for detail?

We are recruiting for an Operations Officer (Standards) to provide support to the rehoming centres and wider operations team by focusing on the development and review of Operations Standard Operating Procedures with stakeholders, and on the continuous improvement of procedures and best practice in the rehoming centres.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

The Operations Directorate is responsible for achieving the mission of Dogs Trust through the intake, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs.

As part of the London office team, this role supports the work of the Operations Directorate in ensuring that our people have the information they need to be able to provide for needs of dogs to Dogs Trust standards. A principle part of the role is researching, and in some cases establishing, Dogs Trust's position on aspects of dog welfare, health and safety, legislative requirements and good practice in a rehoming centre environment.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced administrator, who is educated to degree level or equivalent in an animal related discipline. You will be a great communicator, with a systematic approach to your work and the ability to problem solve effectively.

Don't forget to let us know why you will be great for this role in your covering letter.
