Panel Builder and Workshop Technician
A highly-success manufacturer of environmental testing systems is seeking a Panel Builder/Workshop Technician to join their engineering team.
You will be the senior member of a small team responsible for building Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Fixed Gas Detection systems, ensuring that project and production obligations are met.
This role would benefit from someone who is well organised and self-motivated with good time management skills.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
* Produce electrical control panels, racks & products to drawings and instruction provided;
* Installation of wiring & component support systems - trunking, DIN rail, conduit, etc.;
* Installation of instrumentation and control equipment to racks;
* Carry out installation, identification and termination of mains, LV, control, communication & I/O wiring;
* Carry out small bore pneumatic fit out within systems;
* Fit out of analyser housings to drawings and instruction provided;
* Installation of cable support systems - tray, basket, conduit, support channels, etc.;
* Installation of panels, racks and ancillary equipment - lighting, power distribution, ventilation, etc.;
* QC testing and snag defect resolution.
You could be the perfect candidate for this position if you have the following skills and experience:
* Experience in a similar role within a production setting;
* Apprenticeship, HNC or Equivalent in relevant area of engineering;
* Technical knowledge of electrical control systems, panel build and electrical installation
* Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and schematics;
* IT literate;
* Proven team player;
* Highly organised
* Enthusiasm to deliver high-quality systems to schedule;
* Good communicator on all levels;
* Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated;
* Conscientious with an eye for detail;
* A willingness to learn;
* Full UK driving licence;
* Location: Merseyside/Lancashire/Deeside/Cheshire
