We now have an opportunity for a Recycling Operative to join our Ford site, working 47.5 hours a week.
The Recycling Operative Role:
The Recycling Operative will undertake duties within the site recycling operation, as required or directed. This will include but not limited to, using fixed and mobile plant, picking activity, bale trimming, general cleaning, quality control operations, traffic coordination, basic maintenance activity where supervised and directed.
You'll work as part of a team to ensure maximum productivity within the recycling operation; understanding the production process and communicate any defects or issues to supervision, or maintenance teams. You will be flexible at all times and rotate between tasks according to site requirements.
The ideal Recycling Operative:
The ability to operate fixed plant and assist with minor maintenance is essential. You'll hold valid certificates (CPCS or equivalent and / or Mentor certs) to operate mobile plant such as FLT above 2.5 tonnes with forks or clamps and the wheeled loading shovel. You'll also have:
* Experience of operating in a production or recycling environment
* AP421 / 800 Control of hazardous energy qualifications
* Working knowledge of site licence requirements, working plans, emergency procedures
* Experience of fixed and mobile plant operation
* An awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace
* Ability to undertake structured work with consistent attention to detail.
* Fundamental IT skills
