MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Hours of work: Either 08.00:17:00 (1hr unpaid lunch) 08.00:16.30 (1/2 hr unpaid lunch)
Main Purpose of role:
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to provide a School with an effective, safe & well maintained site
Key Duties
* Distribution of deliveries around the School
* Empty all external litter bins around the grounds
* Escorting meter readers and other contractors such as sanitary bin emptying
* Events set ups - including movement of furniture and some cleaning
* Sweeping path ways including snow clearance and gritting
* Watering of plants in pots and gardens
* Painting and decorating
* Vehicle maintenance checks
* On call to review security cameras and check functioning of all cameras
* Fire extinguisher chec
* General Maintenance works - e.g. carpentry, plumbing, changing light bulbs, repairs
* Assisting IT staff with the movement of equipment and minor works relating to IT
* Water systems monitoring including Pool water quality checks
* Fire Warden duties
* Oversee the use of the school facilities by the hirers to ensure that they keep to the terms of the agreement of hire
* Ensure that the facilities for each hire are fit for purpose. i.e. safe, clean, tidy and properly functioning
* Ensure that the hirers abide by the schools health and safety policy
* Supervise any emergency evacuation
* Invoicing
* Basic Administration
Pool & Sports Hall
* Water quality checks
* Temperature
* Sweep poolside
* Check all lighting is working in the Sports Hall & Pool areas
General
* To act as a positive ambassador and role model for the School in all opportunities supporting the School mission, goals and values
* To maintain a high standard of probity in professional, personal and financial matters, maintaining good relations with colleagues and external partners
* Work flexibly and efficiently to maintain the highest professional standards
* To act in accordance with the School's code of conduct

* To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required.
