The Client

A well respected family owned Waste Management and Recycling Company.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Contract Manager from the Waste Management Sector to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract basis (12 Months) as Maternity cover. As Contract Manager you'll manage, develop and grow a portfolio of customers that require a Total Waste Management solution, whilst at the same time helping them to achieve their environmental and financial targets.

Our client prides themselves on their excellent Customer Service and the ability to build and retain relationships; you will support this as the Contract Manager and the single point of contact for the clients Waste Contract.

Specific tasks/ responsibilities:

* Manage contracts within financial budgets whilst also managing performance of key contracts to individual customer specifications, KPIs & SLAs.

* Looking for creative ways to develop existing contracts and identify new ones.

* Update customers on new technology, innovations and legislation.

* Ensure a high standard of customer care in order to retain all existing work.

* Carry out regular reviews of each contract in terms of price, type of service, best value and profitability.

* Seek to add value to existing contracts by means of continuous improvement.

* Continually look to boost contract turnover and profitability.

* Maintain price schedule and ensure correct billing.

* Ensure correct management information (MI) is supplied to the customer specification in a timely manner.

* Organise and carry out presentations, waste awareness seminars and facility tours/audits.

* Maintain regular visible contact with key stakeholders within individual contracts.

* Make sure that day-to-day operational matters and client queries are dealt with sufficiently by the customer services/administrative teams.

Person Specification

You'll also have:

* Excellent attention to detail

* Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial understanding, with an aptitude to analysing statistical information.

* Proven written communication and presentation skills

* IT Literate

* Proven managerial/supervisory skills

* Excellent report writing skills

* Sound judgement, persuasiveness, influencing and negotiation skills.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

* Contract Management/Relationship Management Experience: 5 years

* Waste Management/Waste and Recycling Contracts Experience: 3 Years Minimum

* Clean UK Driving License
