Volunteering and Social Action Leadership Worker BLUV81528
This is a newly created role which will deliver the volunteering and leadership development element of a number of key foundations within the Hartlepool Action Lab, things like volunteering, community leadership, communications, connectivity, evaluation and learning.
During 2018, a Social Action Plan was developed through dialogue with stakeholders. This plan aims to strengthen, resource, sustain and build social action to solve poverty in the town. This post is a key element of delivering a strong foundation on which existing projects and new activity to engage, motivate and draw people into action will be built.
This fixed term post (until 31/03/22) offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside others – local residents, voluntary organisations, the public sector and businesses – in supporting and developing the skills of those delivering action to make a genuine impact on poverty.
You will be responsible for recruiting new volunteers, promoting volunteering opportunities, delivering development programmes to that group, evaluating the effectiveness of the volunteer support and developing a support network of emerging social action leaders in Hartlepool.
- If you have experience of working within the volunteer sector and have a passion for developing and delivering programmes of support, development and learning ideally within a community setting then we would love to hear from you.
- We are keen to hear about your excellent communication skills, your team working ability and how you can work flexibly and pro-actively to achieve your goals.
- You will be a good planner and have a creative streak that allows you to innovate and try out new endeavours.
