Bridge College in Openshaw, Manchester, is a non-residential specialist further education college. We meet the needs of students up to the age of 25 years with learning and physical disabilities, complex needs, communication disorders and autism. We’re looking for a part time speech and language therapist to join our supportive team!

Please note this is a permanent post – 22 hours per week, 43 weeks of the year.

As our speech and language therapist, you will….

Assess students’ needs and deliver speech and language therapy services to support student’s educational progress under the guidance of the lead speech and language therapist. You will deliver intervention in line with current evidence-based practice to support students’ communication, eating and drinking needs at Bridge College and other individuals accessing the service. You will provide assessment, intervention and monitoring for students with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions and will support SALT assistants and more junior members of the service to support students’ communication needs.

You will work in close collaboration with parents and other professionals within and outside the college and will provide reports and review progress throughout the college year.

About You

You will hold an honours degree in speech and language therapy, be a registered member of RCSLT and HPCP and have completed the RCSLT’s NQP competencies.

You will be passionate about providing speech and language therapy to our fantastic students, support your colleagues and commit to Together Trust’s values.
