We are Silverstone Circuits, home of British Motor Racing. We host some of the nation’s greatest motor events, including the Formula One British Grand Prix and MotoGP.
Our Public Events team deliver these amazing events, as well as British Touring Cars, British Superbikes Championship and live concerts, to name a few. People come from around the globe to immerse themselves in our events, experience the action first-hand and create memories to last a lifetime.
We’re now looking for an Event Development Manager to join the Silverstone team and develop new events for our public portfolio.

The Role
As our Event Development Manager, you’ll create and deliver a range of thrilling events that increase visitor numbers and maximise income streams.
Joining our Public Events team, you will:
- Research new opportunities and create proposals
- Create event briefs, profit and loss accounts and event plans
- Work with the Marketing & Sales teams to deliver marketing and PR plans to support events
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and contractors
- Identify ways to enhance our events from both a customer and business perspective
- Work with external bodies to ensure events meet all licensing, H&S and legislative requirements
- Help the Public Events team to deliver our existing motorsport calendar
About You
To join us as our Event Development Manager, you’ll need:
- At least three years’ event management operational experience
- A track record of managing projects and negotiating with suppliers
- Relationship management experience
- An in-depth understanding of organising major events, including management, planning, scheduling and budget control
- An understanding of individual responsibility in complying with Health and Safety best practice and risk assessments
- Advanced MS Office skills and knowledge of CAD and project management software
Ideally, you’ll have experience in a multi-disciplined venue and of running outdoor events, but this isn’t essential.
We’d love to hear from you if you’ve worked as an Events Manager, Events Operations Manager, Events & Operations Manager, Public Events Manager, Major Events Manager, Events Programme Manager, Project Manager or Public Events & Operations Manager.
This is a full time role which will include evening and weekend work.
