Learn Devon is seeking proactive, organised professionals who excel at working across multidisciplinary teams to work with local communities, partner agencies and businesses to develop a varied programme of courses to meet local needs across East and South Devon.
With a thorough knowledge of adult education and experienced in managing teaching professionals to identify and deliver projects that support communities in improving employment/education skills and the health and wellbeing of participants. The individual will be expected to seek out new audiences and to contribute to the development of the offer through identifying trends across communities.
Area Coordinators will plan, manage and recruit to a termly programme of courses which represents the demands of the local area, communities and employers.
The applicant will contribute to the service targets for retention, achievement and success through the effective management of a team of tutors and through the contract management of sub-contractors. They are also key in ensuring projects are delivered to meet agreed outcomes.
The work takes place within a quality assurance framework including Ofsted, Matrix accreditation and ESFA funding rules and Area Co-ordinators are expected to carry out regular critical evaluations of the activities within their responsibility and identify improvements required.
The three posts will be based in Exmouth (two posts) or Newton Abbot/Totnes (one post) and the individual will be expected to travel across Devon.
