Salary £54,673 - £65,026 per annum, including London Allowance
18 Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential of extending to 2 years)
The Head of School – Creative Industries will lead the strategic development and operational management of the School’s curriculum in line with College objectives and performance targets. You will identify and evaluate the strengths and the areas for improvement and translate this into operating plans with clear actions and targets to be met over a defined period of time. You will monitor this closely with the School Management Group and report on progress to College CMT.
Working with the College Principal, Assistant Principal and STCG Corporate Services is a key element of this role with specific regard to budgets and resources planning. This implies clarity of focus on growing income as well as managing costs in order that key financial imperatives such as reduction in overheads and improvements to facilities can be achieved.
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a Degree or appropriate professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the School and have substantial relevant teaching experience, recognised as a good or better teacher. You will have a proven track record of improving and managing a high quality curriculum along with strong leadership and management skills, identifying training and development needs of both teaching and support staff.
As Head of School, you will also have sound knowledge of the curriculum offered and a firm grasp of current and impending changes to the curriculum. Excellent attention to detail, a creative approach to problem solving and strong organisational skills are a must, as is previous success of
