Milexa Group has an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join the team in Liverpool (Baltic Triangle). You will join us on a permanent, part time basis with flexible hours and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP20,000 - GBP25,000 per annum (pro rata).

About the role:

The core mission of our Bookkeeper is to provide and manage the daily financial activity of the company, through finance operations ensuring all business numerical data is accurate and up-to-date.

Whilst working closely with the Head of Operations and the Managing Director, the role will expose you to the full breadth of the bookkeeping and finance functions within the business. This position offers immediate impact around our finance processes in order to drive efficiency and improve profitability.

Key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

Bookkeeping;

- Raising and gaining approval of purchase orders

- Processing and paying supplier invoices

- Stock management

- Bank reconciliations

- Credit card processing

- Employee expenses processing

- Managing accounts receivable and payable ledgers

- Daily cash flow, staff expenses and managing creditors and debtors

- HMRC management

- Managing fixed assets register

Monthly;

- Month end journals

- Production of trial balance

- Management accounts pack with supporting schedules

Another significant part of this role includes execution of finance -related projects as we work to build our internal finance department and optimise this throughout the business. This will involve working with various teams to coordinate on embedding and improving our processes and bookkeeping across all departments.

Skills & experience required to become our Bookkeeper:

- Experience of Xero accounting software desirable but not essential

- AAT Level 1 Bookkeeping

- Experience working in a fast paced environment

- Commercial and business awareness

- Excellent communication skills

- An analytical approach to work

- High numeracy and sound technical skills

- Problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail

- The ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships

- The potential to lead and motivate others
