Retail Parts and Showroom Sales person
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Parts & Showroom Salesperson to assist with retail sales and join an established team based in Sudbury.
This role would suit someone from either a DIY outlet background e.g. B&Q, Homebase etc, or you may have a background within Graden Centre sales, Parts or Tradecounter.
The client is Family owned, have been established for over 100 years, and have an excellent reputation for looking after it's staff.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day retail sales within the showroom which will include Parts, Hardware, Clothing and Groundcare machinery sales. Your role will be to ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company either face to face or over the telephone.
Essential Skills/Experience:
1. Excellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public
2. Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
3. Good communication skills: face to face, letter, email and fax
4. Familiarity of working in a retail environment and showroom experience (desirable)
5. General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use
6. Good numeracy and literacy skills
7. Sales experience and/or knowledge of grass care machinery e.g. lawn mowers and hedge trimmers (desirable)
8. Full driving license
9. Smart & presentable appearance
10. Motivated by sales and targets
11. Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments
Additional Information:
Hours: 39hrs per week basic - 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday. Saturdays as per rota (8am to 4pm)
Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full time, Hourly Paid
Salary: GBPCompetitive, dependent on experience
