An opportunity has arisen for a Civil Aviation Account Manager to join the team at Didsbury Engineering based in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
You will be the primary contact for large civil aviation customers worldwide, including pricing, project and service level agreement management and complaint resolution. Maintaining and growing the Didsbury Engineering brand/name within the Market, meeting agreed sales targets for both the Business and wider Group. Ideally, you will be able to read and fully understand manufacturing drawings and have had experience working in a SME or Civil Aviation.
You will be responsible for:
* Develop and implement Civil Aviation Market Strategy in conjunction with senior management
* Grow civil aviation business through:
- Development of new products in partnership with design team
- Increase sales with current customers
- Development of new customer markets
* Create new marketing materials
* Main POC for any Civil aviation sales queries
* Work with the rest of the MEL Group civil aviation contacts and network
* Issuing quotations and sales orders
* Liaising with Production and design team members
* Advising customers regarding dispatches
* Arranging training courses for customers engineers
* Endeavouring to maximize order intake
* Work to have Didsbury products specified in aircraft manuals
* Following up on quotations.
* Pro-active in sending information to customers
* Pro-active in winning new customers
* Deal with spares orders and enquires when team members are out of the office
* Visit customers and attend exhibitions when appropriate
* Responsible for some sales administration via telephone and email
* Process sales through to invoicing when appropriate
What we need from you:
* Experience in a light to medium engineering company working in a sales environment
* Computer literate, with good knowledge of Word, Excel and outlook
* Good standard of written and verbal English with an excellent telephone manner
* Positive approach / attitude to customer service (both internal and external customers)
* Creditable and able to liaise confidently with both internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies
* Professional conduct demonstrated at all times with the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Ability to motivate self and work alone and as part of the wider Sales Team
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
* Continuous-improvement mindset; highlight inefficient processes and suggest changes
This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours per week during the hours of 09:00am - 5:00pm. We are offering a competitive salary of GBP35,000 per annum, plus non-contractual bonus scheme.
