The Role
You will be part of our day support team and you will have area asset responsibility and execute the maintenance activities safely.
As a day based Technician, you will have strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues with the ability to problem solve using root cause analysis. You will support and coach your operational colleagues in resolving the technical issues on the area.
You'll be maintaining the machines based on preventive and predictive maintenance concept, you'll also have the opportunity to support and coach the shift Electrical Technician colleagues in resolving technical issues on the area.
Here you will be responsible to maintain key performance indicators such as breakdowns; work to all company standards including for safety and quality, and be a key team member in identifying and implementing continuous improvements as well as working on medium and longer-term projects to improve the efficiencies of the department.
The Person
You'll be a highly motivated team player with great communication and planning skills as well as the ability to work with tight timelines.
Essential:
Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship with an HNC Electrical Engineering
Experience with PLC/controls/instrumentation - Fault find and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Siemens S7/S5
Understands process theory to achieve and maintain a detailed knowledge of asset condition
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems
Previous experience in similar heavy machinery
Strong continuous improvement attitude focused on zero-loss
Strong safety, quality and environmental understanding Desirable
HNC in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPS) Licence
Forklift Driving Licence
