Job Title: Assembly Operative - Mechanical
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
Perpetual Partnerships are working with a family owned manufacturer client on their search for an Assembly Operative - Mechanical to be part of our client's site in their Knutsford Head Office.
Most important about the successful Assembly Operative is an open-mindedness, willingness to provide colleagues with the highest levels of support and a genuine desire to assist a successful team in achieving an ever-increasing demand for its products. You will enjoy working on a friendly, busy shop floor within a challenging environment.
Skills and Experience Required
Good experience gained as a Mechanical Assembly Operative is ESSENTIAL. Electrical experience would be a bonus.
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and experience:
* Manual dexterity to handle small components
* An aptitude to use hand tools
* Basic computer skills
About the role
* Producing a variety of Electrical looms using both samples and computer based diagrams
* Terminating cables using a variety of terminations including crimps
* Completing electrical assemblies involving PCB's, looms and various types of switches
* Testing Electrical assemblies using both 'off the shelf' and in-house developed test equipment
* Building and testing of a range of different components, working to a high level of detail
* Completion of Test Certificates and Packing Sheets as necessary

* 39 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 1pm
* 22 days holiday per year, plus statutory bank holidays

* 2 years' death-in-service benefit from day one of employment until age 65
