LOGISTICS MANAGER
JOB DETAILS
Responsible To: Operations Manager
Working Hours: As required. Normal office hours are 09:30 to 17:30, Monday - Thursday, 09:30 to 17:00 Friday.
Place of Work: MK12
JOB SUMMARY
Due to exciting growth a Logistics Manager is now required to support an arm of this evolving and innovative company!
Provides full logistic support to this branch of the business. The successful candidate will interact with suppliers and couriers in an effective manner ensuring all delivery deadlines are met. The role requires the candidate to coordinate all logistics from China to the UK and once received in our UK warehouse they will be distributed to our client's shop facilities. As LM, you will work closely with our warehousing and logistics partner, ensuring that all deliveries are correct and on time.
The ideal candidate will have a vast amount of logistics experience both with UK and worldwide deliveries. The candidate should also display a 'can do' attitude and have the desire to achieve results.
KEY TASKS
Responsibilities
Responds to client questions in person as well as over the phone regarding products and services.
Gain a good understanding of Exchequer and/or systems we have for operational requirements.
Support line managers on project work.
Support the coordination of all deliveries to our retail clients Undertakes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Type and word-process various documents and electronic information.
Create various reports as and when needed.
Support with administration for the ted sampling website portal
Manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications.
Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement the correct actions.
Work closely with our off site warehousing partner to ensure all deliveries and order processing is completed
Arrange and participate in meetings and conferences.
Complete various health and safety duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong communications skills with external and internal clients.
Excellent oral and written English.
Commercial awareness.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
Character and Attitude
• Highly self motivated.
• Methodical, organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Desire to achieve.
• Possess the ability to cope with pressure, tight deadlines and demanding targets.
• Able to work part of a team.
• Develop and maintain successful working relationships.
• Able to work on own initiative.
Experience
• Dealing with client queries.
• Worldwide and UK logistics experience (essential)
