Our client specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke units and catering equipment for the hospitality trade and have a customer base covering the whole of the UK and Europe. Due to ongoing growth they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
The Design Engineer / AutoCAD Technician will be responsible for:
??Creating 3D drawings from 2D floor layouts
??Writing work instructions for shop floor
??Liaising with customers and engineers over technical queries
??Ordering parts and spares
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a small team, in a hands on role - you will possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, with the ability to offer technical support to customers.
Required skills and experience:
??Good working knowledge of 2D & 3D AutoCAD
??Minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering / Design related subject
??Good mechanical background
??Knowledge of working with thin sheet metal materials / stainless steel would be preferred
??Understanding of metal machinery processes and capabilities
??Enjoy working within a close knit team and prepared to get involved
??Willingness to learn and develop own skills and share ideas
