Learning and Development Coordinator/Trainer (Psychologically Informed Environments) 

We are offering an opportunity to lead a new innovative programme to embed psychologically informed approaches within voluntary and statutory organisations through the coordination and delivery of a workforce development programme. Through partnership working, coordination, training and coaching you will enable teams to better meet young people's emotional and psychological needs and more effectively use resources. 

1625 Independent People (1625ip) is a leading youth homeless charity based in the South West, working with 2,500 young people. We have strong local partnerships and adhere to the best practice in the sector, thereby building trusting relationships between young people and 1625ip staff is at the core of our work. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Relevant experience of delivering training and developing high-quality materials with outstanding training, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • A strong understanding of psychologically informed approaches to working with young people whose lives have been shaped by trauma and disrupted attachments. 
  • Demonstrable ability to develop, coordinate, evaluate and report on the delivery of a training programme. 
  • Someone who can be self-directed, manage own time and prioritise effectively whilst also working as part of a team. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Developing a workforce development programme 
  • Coordinating and delivering training in PIE based approaches 
  • Developing a sustainable model for reflective practice facilitation within 1625ip and across multi-agency 'teams around the Young Person' 
  • Developing a resource toolkit, linked to bespoke training and consultancy available as part of the project's legacy 

You will be line managed by our Operations Director

Contract Details: 

  • Hours per week - 22.5 (this represents 0.6 FTE) 
  • Contract Type - Fixed 21 months 
  • Pay - NJC Scale 26 - 29, £29,636 - £32,029 per annum (pro rata based on part time hours) 
  • The location - You will be based in our Kingsley Hall office, close to Bristol's main train and bus stations as well as the vibrant city centre
