PAYROLL OFFICER
Winlight Recruitment seek an astute Payroll Officer to cover maternity leave but with the potential of the role going permanent in 12 months.
The Job:
Due to maternity leave Winlight Recruitment are seeking an astute Payroll Officer that can fit the mould and bond with the recruitment consultants to join our growing, fun-loving team.
This is a value-adding role that will allow the successful person to progress in their career. There is every opportunity for the role to become permanent to support the continued growth of the business.
Your role will vary and include the following tasks
* Weekly and monthly payroll input and calculations
* Input of online timesheets on various systems
* Creation of sales invoices
* Reconciliation of client invoice payments based on self-billed invoices generated daily
* Producing Statements and handling invoice queries
* Allocation of receipts to customer accounts
* Credit Control and the on-going reduction in debtor days
* Banking
* Perparing BACS payments

The Experience:
For the position of Payroll Officer, you will have the following skills:
* A minimum of 1 year's payroll experience ideally in a recruitment or umbrella company
* Experienced of running contractor payroll
* Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
* Experience of various payroll systems is an advantage
* Accurate and methodical
* Experience of bookkeeping for a small or medium sized business an advantage
* Polite, confident, professional telephone manner
* Previous experience of a weekly payroll with regular starters and leavers
The Salary:
The salary on offer for this position is between GBP20,000 and GBP25,000 dependant on experience.
