MET Technician required for busy Accident Repair Centre in Sunderland

Role: MET Technician
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
Salary: GBP11.60 per hour + efficiency bonus

Our client in Sunderland is on the look out for a fully qualified MET / Strip & Fit Technician. (mechanical electrical trim)

As part of a team of professionals you will undertake the dismantling and reassembly of damaged vehicles, to an extremely high standard, in accordance with the prescribed method, ensuing that stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out in a professional and correct manner & that final quality checks are undertaken in line with appropriate standards.

An important aspect of the MET Technician's role is to also ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times. Checking that all parts are ordered as per estimate is also a given with the purpose of ensuring that the repair can be completed without delay, returning all unused parts to the parts department for credit. The MET Technicians job also includes ensuring that equipment used is operated in accordance with defined safety requirements

What you will be doing?

Our Bodyshop is fast paced and exciting with lots of opportunity to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. In the job of MET Technician you will be stripping and fitting various vehicles. This means performing repairs to an extremely high standard. It is also important for you as a MET Technician for you to fully understand our manufacturers literature and bulletins so you are fully up-to-date.

Another very important aspect of the job is teamwork as you will be working with other colleagues in the Bodyshop as well as across other functional areas.

As a MET Technician we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With professionalism appearance we would also appreciate it if you had your own stocked toolbox, excellent job knowledge and be highly motivated. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence and the relevant qualifications for the job (ATA, NVQ Level 3, or City and Guilds as well as experience in the accident repair environment). We will help and support you with the rest
