Are you an experienced Housing Officer who is looking to put your skills and experience into a successful and growing housing association? This is an ongoing temporary role for a couple of months in the Killingworth area.
Job
- Being a pinicle point of contact for queries, complaints and compliments
- Lone working on estates dealing with residents from a diverse cultural and social backgrounds
- Producing 21 day notification letters and distributing by hand, 7 day notifications and distributing by hand
- Conflict and dispute resolution
- Complaint and claims handling
- Management of Rent Arrears
- Managing allocation and letting of properties, including carrying out tenancy terminations, property inspections and allocation of the property to a specified timescale in order to turnaround void properties.
- Checking tenants are able to sustain tenancy by identifying their ability to pay rent and in what manner
- Able to liaise with tenants to overcome any issues or concerns
- Be a point of contact for tenants whilst work is being carried out throughout the residents
- Have responsibility over your own 'patch/patches,' therefore driving will be required
- Working with both residents, contractors and external stakeholders
Experience and Skills
- Have previous social housing experience
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a personal personality
- Able to deal with at times, difficult or challenging customers
- Access to a vehicle and full clean driving licence
