Position Description

SLD Pumps and Power, a trading division within Carrier Rental Systems, is seeking to recruit a Regional Mechanical Engineer across Stockton, York, Ripon and the surrounding area, servicing fleet pumps and engines. SLD Pumps and Power Division is a leading provider of a range of specialist pump rental products, to a variety of industries and clients. We are committed to improving pump solutions and delivering a high level of service, through high specification equipment and an understanding of clients requirements, to offer a complete solution.

The role will involve maintaining and servicing plant equipment, specifically pumps and generators, ensuring all returned equipment is ready for re-hire. Servicing on-site equipment for a range of clients, ensuring all Health Safety Procedures are consistently met. You will be required to respond to client call-outs, periodically working on a 24 hour on-call service rota. A high level of customer service is required as SLD operate strict Service Level Agreements across all of our clients, meaning all call-outs and issues with machinery need to be dealt with promptly and professionally. The ability to assess, report any product issues independently is also essential.

Required Experience

The successful candidate will be flexible, adaptable and eager to fulfil the demands of a busy depot. Organisation is key, as well as the ability to maintain a safe and tidy working environment, demonstrate a professional approach, have good communication skills and be self-motivated with the ability to forward plan. Along with this we require someone who thrives working within a fast paced, demanding, yet rewarding environment.

In order to be considered for this opportunity the successful candidate will have previous experience as an Engineer and will ideally have a good knowledge of diesel engines/pumps.
